The International Council of Toy Industries ICTI has been approached by a coalition of NGOs campaigning for fair working conditions in toy production, including the partners of "Stop Toying Around!".

The recent report called "Exploitations of Toy Factory Workers at the Bottom of the Global Supply Chain" reveals that violations of human and workers rights remain even in certified toy factories in China.

Why is there no “fair toy” label?

There could only be a label for a “fair toy” if we could be 100% sure that this toy is produced under fair working conditions.

For that we would need to know that in ALL production sites during ALL production stages a code of conduct is really adhered to and that this is monitored independently. And even then it would be very difficult to guarantee that all individual toys are 100% fair.
